For Jesus and the disciples, it is a day filled with directives, guidelines, laws, instructions for living, along with friendship, food, humility, kindness and serving one another in love.
The washing of the feet serve to remind us of the importance of our feet. Let’s make it a special day to be grateful for the unstoppable tendency and service of our feet. Care for them, soak and wash them.
In Jesus time, oils were prominent in ceremonies and for hygiene. Essential oils are soothing to apply on the soles of our feet. Especially before bed or anytime. Plus the oils usually absorb well. However if need be, wipe a cloth over the soles before wearing socks or footwear.
The internet is a good source to learn of individual essential oils. Health stores and massage therapists usually are versed on oils for the feet especially the soles of our pads. I have used a peace and calm oil formula at night and lavender essential oils on the soles of my feet. It does soothe the feet.

He taught, you and I have power and potential to restore that which is broken, out of balance and in need of healing in ourselves and in other people.
His lasting edict to us: Follow in earnest my holy values, teachings, examples and precepts. It is the way to heal, have a personal healing and influence for the good the collective consciousness of humanity.
