“Be Dazzled”
‘Tis the Season to be Jolly’ song lyrics say. Or whatever season, these ideas and helpful living modalities help us uplift and accomplish what is before us to do. (Also, be sure to take in the meditation near the end of the Truth Message.)
Even though, earlier today I spoke with a woman who wondered where the time would come from to begin her Christmas shopping. I shared with her how my husband took an early lunch from work and went straight to the mall to shop for gifts. It worked and he kept his job. Companies need to give people time to do holiday shopping. Some places of business give personal time. Yet we may hesitate to use them.
Then there was a woman who told me her Church does not celebrate Christmas or exchange gifts. I said what! We might complain about having to clean and dress up our home and do gift shopping. Yet we can find joy in it all. For one thing, the department stores are decked out and usually beautiful with each section competing with one another.
We can decide to witness the luminescence of Christmas and simply observe what the holidays bring: The increased traffic, store crowds, tired employees, and some empty shelves. Then there is our wallet. We can opt to give handmade gifts and also pay cash for what we buy. Some families get creative especially in big families and limit gift giving or come up with other novel ideas for giving something representative of Christmas.
Decide to appreciate the luminosity of the Season, whatever season or event. Gifts after all are symbolic of the joy, appreciation and love we feel for our indwelling Christ nature, our family, friends and people who serve us during the year and special friends we are associated with. Christmas, Easter and holidays in general are surprising times of the year when delightful feelings of generosity open in us and we want to give sometimes without limits.
Certainly it is a special moment for our heart sense when we give spontaneously at Christmas or any time. I feel waiters and waitresses are grossly underpaid. It is truly a blessing to especially gift them during the Holidays.
Likewise, we can feel empathetic to those who have to work two or three jobs to make ends meet. It is a good time to remember we do not know another’s burden, pain or hardship. We can give to all and anyone a silent blessing or pour Divine white light upon them, visualizing the crown of their head illumined and flowing everywhere within them and in their lives.
Sometimes it is ourselves who need to feel the continuous blessing inside and upon us. To remember all things are working toward goodness, love and enlightenment.
Here we are, our individual self maneuvering through the holidays with the goal of giving love and unconditional kindness to others. We get tired and can feel off some days. That’s when we feel the uplifting energy we take in from the beauty around us and within us and perk up.
It’s almost the Holiday month of December—We can vow to give care to ourselves, ask for help from others, be creative and let any temptation for perfectionism transform into self-appreciation, acceptance and wise choices; all the while allowing oneself to be dazzled and touched by the holy moments occurring within us and around us in common and surprising ways.
Join me in meditation as we remember our Oneness, wisdom and divine order flowing through us and manifesting everywhere. We rise inside, in the spirit of unity with all people and acceptance of the good within us, in other people and in situations, experiences and things.
We stir up joy inside as we let go of any concern over anything. Letting it all go to center on the Divine light within. We breathe more deeply as we connect with the genuine, the freeing spirit of liberation, of peace indwelling. We fill with light; we feel peace circulating in our mind, heart and body temple.
In the first person—I give way to inspiration, to the dazzling time of the year, to enjoy the decorative beauty around me and inherent in others. We remember everyone wants to feel joy, comfort and appreciation. So we give way and exude peace along with plenty of appreciation and thankfulness for ourselves and other people. In this joy is born.
Becoming quiet, preparing to sit in the light of silence we relax and relax some more….in the quiet we absorb the nothingness and let the mighty cells of our body restore and renew in the likeness of perfection.
We sit ‘taking no thought.’ We rest and observe the grace of our breath and the slowing of our holy physical being…..We relax in the stillness and move into our oneness with the shining Divine Presence……We are grateful for our humanity and Divinity as one, Amen.
