“Easter is More”
Easter is hunting for colored Easter eggs, gathering with relatives and the remembrance of the gift and power of resurrection that Jesus demonstrated. Yet there is more believe it or not.
Easter morning was a new beginning for Jesus. He now was in visible spirit form as he spoke Mary’s name in a Garden burial site near Jesus’ tomb. He did not blame anyone.
He announced himself to Mary and asked her to tell the Disciples he was here. It was important to Jesus for the Disciples to know Jesus lived. He had transformed and would be with them for a little while, then continue his eternal journey onward.
The remarkable event of resurrection is profoundly meaningful for each one of us today. We innately and at hand have the presence to begin anew, to call on our resurrection power and let go of a nagging habit or begin something new which promotes well-being and brings forth new life within us.
We are of the same spirit as Jesus. We can rise from yesterday’s ways, hardships and concerns. We can begin anew and wake up with a refreshed decisive purpose and lift with the light of power and announce to our whole self — here I am and new ideas and plans are moving and happening in and through me now.
I rise from the stale and begin revitalized, shining with the Spirit and newness of life. The vigor of the resurrection power is alive and activated in me now. I do the greater works I set out to do, Amen and Amen.
