“One Power”
“One Power”
“There is one power in the universe and we can all use it.” –Ernest Holmes. We see power in a wind storm whipping through trees in strong weather. We know the force of the wind when we try to put up an umbrella at the sunny beach and the wind keeps blowing through our attempts to stabilize the umbrella in the sand.
A power force is all throughout the Universe and right in our midst. We have a power center in us. Charles Fillmore thought its seat was in our throat. I believe the power of God resides within us in total. We recall—“There is no place where God is not.” Is not God power, yes the Divine Presence is Power. Power indwells our whole being, including our mind power and heart sense.
There is power in our heart beat. And there is literal power when we lift a heavy bag of groceries or lift a three year old off the floor. There is power in our voice, power as the strength we lift weights with and hug our loved ones with. We have mind power and the power in self-control. We call it willpower to not eat the second chocolate chip cookie.
Our power within us and available to us unceasingly is a gift from the Divine Presence. Let’s remember we are powerful expressions. Nevertheless, we can use our power to gently pet a kitten or softly hold a newborns tiny hand. We are powerhouses that can be likened to a storage facility of power within us.
We use our power of mind through our intelligence and direct its specific use. We have emotional power to balance our feelings and senses; to say no to what harms and yes to what builds up, to what heals and uplifts. As we remember God is our constant source of power we use with love and wisdom.
We are all recipients of innate power. Likewise, we are abundantly grateful for the constant flow of power to our brain and whole body as it circulates through us with grace and the utmost of Divine conservation, feeling and intelligence.
