“Incentive”
When my husband and I moved from New Jersey to Houston, Texas in late 1979, husband could find no work as a design draftsman. He looked and looked. I prayed in secret and affirmed husband would be gainfully employed. There was a job waiting for him to fill was my daily silent affirmation.
One day he reads the paper and a designer job was in the paper at a well known company in Houston. He went to the company and inquired. The company said they did not even put the add in the paper.
However with husband’s special skills they would not let him walk out of the company; they offered him a job right away. Next day husband was gainfully employed. This did not just happen out of a vacuum. First husband was ready to work. Second he showed initiative and looked constantly for employment.
Then he drove to the company and inquired and asked the department for an interview, who was looking for my husband’s skills to fill the position. He got the job on the spot.
There is an invaluable book titled Spiritual Economics by Eric Butterworth. I suggest anyone looking for work to read the book from cover to cover. It is an easy read and most invigorating and informative.
Importantly: we need a consciousness of readiness to be employed without delay. We can even plan what we would wear and where we will inquire for business. Readiness and active desire to be employed draws the perfect job and position to us.
Then, we thank God in advance for where we have a need, the need is fulfilled now without delay. We are ready, dressed and go forth in faith, Amen. ‘I am gainfully employed in a job I love and with great pay.’ And it is so.
