The Power of Love is ever within me as a Constant Presence of well-being.

From the prodigal son story the reader sees the Father loving and accepting the prodigal from a mother love within the Father. It did marvelous things for the returning son.

For before the prodigal met with the love energy of the Father, he rejected and condemned himself and felt unacceptable to receive anything good. The Father’s love helped heal the prodigal’s poor attitude of himself. He healed in the atmosphere of non-condemnatory and unconditional love.

In the human point of view, the prodigal’s Father had more than enough reason to have greeted the son with anger, rejection, and shame for his son’s unconscionable behavior in the far country. For one, the son recklessly spent the retirement savings of his parents.

However, Luke 15: 11–32 does not portray a rageful Father. Quite the opposite. The writer of Luke reveals a Father with a kind mother’s heart who greets the son with delight and a perfect, accepting love which began to instantly heal the returning son’s crumbled self-image. We learn of a purified and rare spiritual love of God in the story–the constant and all-healing love of the Divine Spirit.

God’s love is like the garment of Jesus. When the woman who had been ill for 12 years became engulfed in a Godly love by touching Jesus’ garment, she was healed completely in that instant (Matthew 9:20–22).

Read the valuable prodigal son parable. Use it in prayer and meditation. Feel the power of the parable of the prodigal son/daughter. We receive what we need each time we sit with the extraordinary story.

Most importantly, let the prodigal story be an experience of healing and revelation on what love is in its true untainted essence and quality.

When we love ourselves unconditionally something magnificent is released within ourselves–our true self glows outward as Divine potency and wholeness.

Affirmative Statement: I have the desire and capacity to praise the power of love within me. It grows and flourishes throughout my whole being and life.  I am filled to overflowing with the one pure love. I practice the presence of love and goodness becomes omnipresent. And so it is, Amen.
