Daily Contemplation: You’ve heard the compliment–“you’re doing good.” I said that phrase to a new restaurant owner recently; and he challenged it. He responded: I’m not Jesus or Buddha. I’m not good; they are. I touched his arm lightly and said: However you carry the divine light. In so doing, you bring their goodness forward in this time and space.

Every one of us does. We have a spiritual purpose–you, I and our neighbor, fulfill in our unique ways. It is no small thing. Our power is within us; yet, it is an ancient power and a divine presence of being, coming from the one Source of Good. Our individual message is designed for this moment and stretches beyond into eternity.

It is a divine paradox that we are both a small ripple that carries a dynamic energy into forever. We need to be aware of our potential and actual good works being expressed in the present, now. In this way, we convey the holy essence of Truth revealed through Buddha, Jesus, and the Way-Showers–throughout the eons of time and transcending even time.
