The Silence renews my deep connection with the universal and personal Presence of the holy within. –Frieda King

“There is no need to go to India or anywhere else to find peace. You will find that deep place of silence right in your room, garden, or even your (shower, Jacuzzi) or bath tub.” Elizabeth Kubler-Ross

Take a day or half day easy retreat from television, phone, and talk. A silent retreat from the ordinary life pattern. Let it be at or near your home if you prefer. Allow plenty of time to connect with your freeing divine Spirit for renewal and a refreshed outlook. Celebrate your power before, during and after your time apart.

Sometimes we need to go apart from our living quarters to a place conducive to the spirit and the silence. There are many places to do just that. There may be retreat places close to where you live.

“True silence is … to the Spirit what sleep is to the body: nourishment and  refreshment.” —William Penn

Enjoy the respite of silence today whether it be as brief as a half hour to an hour or more–“linger in the presence of God.”
