Allowing our Living to Open Us
Living the Fullness of our Life; “Allowing our living to open (us).” I’ve decided upon entering the seventh decade of life to think less and to listen and act on intuitive guidance. Consequently, how many times have we wanted to move with something and our over-thinking put the brakes on a good idea or creative endeavor.
Be dreamy, stare at the night sky. Play with water in the outdoor summer weather. Release yourself of burdens, whether it be political, regarding family, neighbors, or intimate relationships. Say no to concern, worry, and fear. And say yes to joy, your innate playful spirit and the creative energized genius quality within.
You have the power of ‘yes’ and ‘no.’ Your tongue commands power and designates how your energy is to be used and for what purpose.
No matter our age, let’s promise not to waste valuable time on frivolous things, people, places, and negative happenings.
Take Dawna’s poem to heart—learn from it; and follow her declaration of living without fear. I believe this is what Jesus modeled in his lifetime. He had every reason to cower and give up. He stepped out beyond the little human nature with its frailties and self-preservation mechanisms. He followed Spirit’s call. The ‘Father’ does the work in me.
Our inner Divinity supports us and supplies for our every need. When we give up to the Grace of God to be our Guide, when we follow the highest call within us, we experience a fulfillment at Soul level. It is genuinely us living our desires of our hearts. And so we let it be, Amen
Poem–“I will not die an unlived life. I will not live in fear of falling or catching fire. I choose to inhabit my days, to allow my living to open me, to make me less afraid, more accessible; to loosen my heart until it becomes a wing, a torch, a promise. I choose to risk my significance, to live so that which came to me as seed goes to the next as blossom, and that which came to me as blossom, goes on as fruit.” ― Dawna Markova
