“In the silence of my soul, God speaks to me, and I listen.”
“In prayer, I become still, close my eyes, and take a deep breath. I continue in prayer by breathing evenly and listening with my entire being. My prayers are the silent questions within my heart that only God knows and that only God can answer.
“The answer from God may come in that time of prayer as a certain knowing within my soul, or it may come later as a gentle nudge to do or say something.
“I am not listening for audible words during my time of prayer. I might be hard pressed to tell others how I know, but still I know when God has spoken to me.
“My spiritual journey is uniquely my own, and my guidance from God may come in many different ways. Listening in the quiet of prayer, I prepare myself to receive–in that time of silence or during some busy activity. I listen as God speaks to me.”
“Call to me and I will answer you.”–Jeremiah 33:3
