Be Peaceable
One of the premises of war and peacekeeping is to bring about peace. In my spiritual studies and meditations on peace, there is a basic idea that rings true–peace begins in the individual heart of a person. When person after person has peace abide in them and they in turn live as an expression of peace–there is a wonderful possibility war will begin to fade and not be necessary.
A Daily Word affirmation states “I am a center of peace.” Peace does begin in our hearts and spreads to other hearts. In this moment let’s visualize a warm light-filled candle glowing in our heart, filling the body, aura, words and attitude with a peace that’s catching and enlivens others, lighting them with lasting peace.
If we are not in peace, let’s look at what is in the way. With awareness comes uplifting, discernment and choice. In affirmation–I let the light of peace radiate throughout my life, acknowledging peace in every facet and activity. My tone and character is set in peace. The color of my expression and experience is calm and serene, yet dynamic and contagious.
