Twelve Tenets of Self-Love and Appreciation–Ten, Eleven & Twelve
10) ‘Do Mirror Work’– or worded differently, systematically recognize the Light, Love, Appealing and intelligent being you are! Speak kindly and respectfully about yourself and to yourself.
As you look in the mirror behold your shining Spirit–the image and likeness of the Divine Spirit in you. Behold yourself lovingly. Forgive yourself completely. Hold nothing against your family of origin, your dear ones, coworkers, and no one. When you do this, the quality of Divine love expands in you. You are increasing and growing in your capacity of available love. The love within you is limitless and expanding. As you realize more love within yourself, you have more available to give and express to humankind and all living and inanimate things.
In affirmation: I release bashfulness and love myself by intentionally and deeply acknowledging in a mirror the love and appreciation for my selfhood, for every experience I have had and made it through, for where I am in this moment, and for where I am going from here. I love and respect myself wholly and fully, Amen.
11) ‘Love Yourself–Do It Now’–There is an interesting phenomena about human behavior. That which we hate, we get to keep or we hold it to us. For example, if I do not accept the way I look because my tummy is not flat or my arms are not in physical fitness shape, I block healthy self-love. If on the other hand I visualize myself physically fit and affirm I am my ideal weight and support the affirmation with action, I may begin appreciating myself more. Except for the fact that physical fitness may not be completely achieved or I may not get into action to accomplish the feat.
The best thing to do is love ourselves as we are and in whatever physical shape we have or state of mind we may be experiencing or challenge we may be having–love ourselves anyway just as we are. That is the grandest thing we can do to begin and promote any change if change is what we desire.
In fact, self-love cannot and does not depend on any outer thing or on no-thing except to love ourselves unconditionally as we are now. There is nothing we have to do. Each of us is deserving of love and appreciation immediately without hesitation or question. In an atmosphere of self-acceptance and love we thrive.
I affirm–I freely feel self love, acceptance and appreciation for my whole being. Now is the perfect occasion to feel good about myself, to love myself wholly. And so I do.
12) ‘Have Fun, Be Joyful’–we do not have to wait till a holiday, vacation, our birthday or the right time to live fully, to laugh, be playful and joyous. Why put off these terrific experiences. It is freeing when we accept ourselves every moment and face any non-acceptance of self, bringing the thought or feeling into the light for understanding and transformation. In so doing we are free to feel at ease, have fun today and fill with joy now. We can set any blocks aside that may detract from being lighthearted in this moment. These are enlivening ideas and we can give ourselves divine permission to experience them.
In affirmation: I do more than set an intention, I live joy now. I look for things to be happy and thankful about. I engage my soul, my feeling nature and enjoy life now. I look and find things that are humorous. There are a lot of laughable occurrences happening regularly. I have eyes that see, ears to hear, and the will to be joyous, fun-filled, and witty. In thankfulness for the power within me, Amen
