The names and labels we give things carry their unique energy and vibration. I recently observed someone’s email address titled ‘misery.’ There was a certain feeling and image I felt in reading her choice of words.

The words we speak, the labels we give anything, make a difference and send out a certain vibe and picture. I remember Eric Butterworth sharing in a tape message how his housekeeper had been depressed and not feeling well for some time. He overheard her one day–she announce to the ethers as she went around the home doing the routine cleaning–“Oh hell I’m well; Oh hell I’m well. Thereafter she recovered fully.

It sounds humorous. Yet the housekeeper stated her wellness affirmation with conviction, a bit of humor and a lot of—I’m fed up with this its time to get well! I recall one day deciding I would feel better and went to a Unity song book and began singing “I am the radiant life of God, I am, I am, I am….” While singing the song, I could feel my body responding with peace and well-being. When I returned to the activities of the day, I felt restored and much better.

We respond to the essence and sound within the words we use, write, think, feel and speak. Words and labels contain power to build up, tear down, be mediocre, further well-being or degradation.

In choosing words and labels with wisdom and intending to promote goodness and wholesomeness, the words and titles we give things and voice keep blessing and revealing the true greatness within everything and everyone.
