A Wholesome Identification
Truth Message: “We can spend our lives letting the world tell us who we are. Sane or insane. Saints or (fallen angels). Heroes or victims. Letting history tell us how good or bad we are. Letting our past decide our future. Or we can decide for ourselves. And maybe it’s our job to invent something better,” (Chuck Palahniuk).
We have heard and may practice truth ideas and universal principles and take them to heart to discover for ourselves if they work and our lives have improved. One such wisdom-packed idea is–we become what we identify with. Another companion truth–where our attention goes energy flows. We know these tried and true spiritual ideas that our minds are impressed and shaped by what we feel, believe, and accept as fact and truth.
Furthermore, the ideas and beliefs we take to heart–feel and think they are so–become realized in us and in our lives. Knowing the workings of our human and spiritual nature is transformative and liberating, filling us with restored power.
Consequently, what we identify with and the beliefs we hold manifest inside us and influence the quality and happiness or unhappiness of our lives. For instance, if we decide to identify with our job then lose it and feel disposable and or worthless, we are allowing something outside ourselves to define who we are. It is the same for material possessions or anything outside of our God or Divine nature.
Certainly, it is OK to feel how we feel about any loss. The key is we are much more than our jobs, our relationships, and material good. We have divine richness flowing through our veins and our entire life. We want to behold the image of our capability to manifest anew; to gracefully heal from any loss feeling blessed because of it.
If you wonder who you really are in potential and essence read H. Emilie Cady’s book, Lessons in Truth. Or Eric Butterworth’s book, Discover the Power Within You. Almost any Unity book or books by Joel S. Goldsmith will open your heart to receive and hear the magnificent truth about your true identity as a spiritual and divine expression in human form and experience not something to unfold in the future–but who and what your true identity is now and permanently so.
In addition, Meditation, the quiet of prayer and contemplative moments with the Source of life and light within you, asking for the wisdom and the understanding of who you really are–will feed you. From communion with the divine source, you will find peace and receive knowledge and the realization of your divine inheritance and nature.
Nothing can erase the truth of our divine identity. It remains untouched by beliefs, words, experiences, illness, facts, or falsities. No thing, person or circumstance can change or take our divinity from us. We are each powerful, creative, with the capacity of healing and wholeness, packed with unlimited potential within ourselves to create and live a happy, fulfilling life. This is who we are. So much more than appearances, our history, family of origin, education, and so forth. The masters, saints, mystics, and wise ones throughout time have spoken the truth about who we really are.
When we entertain the good thoughts, beliefs, and ideas of who we actually are, we become free from hindering chatter and depleted ideas, and concepts. We now live from the image and likeness of our true identity imprinted within us which has nothing to do with materiality or someone else’s opinion of us.
Prayer: I affirm and give energy to the brilliant light of the absolute reality that lives in me. I live and create my world from the divine truth of my wholesome identity indelibly woven into the substance of my being. I am so grateful, Amen.
