“Angelic Truth.”
I was attending a community executive meeting several days ago. We were discussing two separate neighbors who were obviously breaking subdivision HOA deed restrictions.
At the end of the meeting I piped up and said my nearby neighbor’s son is graduating high school and we are giving him a card with a gift enclosed. They responded in disagreement since this neighbor had been one of the two violating the community homeowners’ restrictions.
I was puzzled for a moment. Then I thought perhaps others do not feel as I do. My belief is to give good for evil. In this case evil is too strong a word. However, giving good and desiring to be an avenue of generosity and good will, even though shocking to some, places all concerned on a higher and more loving plane. Too, sometimes an act of kindness is the catalyst for softening hearts.
Nonetheless, my heart was pure and wanting to acknowledge the son’s accomplishments. He had to work harder and longer to graduate than perhaps some other kids. He did it. And that deserves recognition no matter whether the family is in proper codes with the deed restrictions or not.
We can call it angelic thinking or being in contact with a flow of loving and thoughtful ideas and actions. There is a power of choice of how we want to use our energy to add value or continue complaining about people, situations and offenses.
Yes, people in a community of residential homes and dwellings need to respect the deed restrictions and guidelines where they live. The teen was not thinking about such things. He was about earning his high school diploma. Why add more misery to the situation if I ignored that and only focused on the problem of not following the community requirements.
When we hear the Truth within, when the light of guidance is clear inside, we are on holy ground as we follow and act on the angelic truth we sense to be the right way to go. It does not matter if people or colleagues disagree.
We honor other people and their particular points of view at the time and let it be. People will commonly see things differently. My choices are mine. I have to live with them. Others are responsible for their own reasoning. I believe the people at the meeting will ponder my actions. Perhaps it will cause them to think more deeply.
I know from reading and study of the masters throughout time. They repeat a common theme. We each are more powerful and wiser than we think and act at times. They say we as a people have a depth of wisdom inside. And when we listen to the finer more attuned spirit-filled messages, we are guided in directions contrary to ordinary race-mind thoughts and beliefs.
In prayer now: I open and look deeply within beyond the loud noise of my mind and lowly open, inviting to a stream of truth inherent. I look past popular opinions and tendencies, to a directive guidance, a finer knowing harmonious with compassion, love and divine action. I relax as I open with a keen receptivity to hear from a wisdom internal and blessed. I am at peace and act from love, Amen
