“Being True to You”
Sometimes it feels as if the world around us wants you and I to be something different than who we are as genuine individuals. If we take the advertisements and commercials to heart we will want different color hair, drive certain cars, be with certain type people, do certain things and so forth. It seems even politicians are selling something these days they want us to buy.
On the other hand, it can seem our dear family members and sometimes friends and coworkers want us to stay the same and not change or rock the status quo.
And yet there are impulses within each person to grow, evolve and be who he and she really are inside–to be true to how we each see something, how we feel and what we believe the solutions are to problems and challenges in us and around us. We each are unique and have an innate desire and thirst within ourselves to ‘be what (we) can be.”
What’s more, as individuals we have passions, talents, gifts and special abilities wanting expression and opportunities to give, be and do and experience the success of bringing our individual gifts into manifestation.
We need to sell ourselves on being ourselves. To take the time to listen within to what is crying for attention to express; to what our feelings are and how they are seeking to guide us. Listening to and acknowledging our inner feelings just may be the opening of the door to greater well-being, genuineness, and being who we sense in our hearts we are.
Besides honoring our individual self-expression, the particular way we see things, respecting our feelings, and giving ourselves permission to love and value who we are as individuals and offer our inner gifts to the world — all these certainly could make for a happy inner climate along with inner peace and outer joy of being and bringing forth who we actually are.
