“Father’s.” Happy celebration and honoring day to fathers and father figures. Let’s decide to make our gratitude for fathers every day of the year. The world is a better place because of the guidance and attention father’s give to their children and children they mentor.

At dinner this afternoon, I observed our own son looking at his dad who sat across from his son. The son looked with eyes of admiration, a sense of pride and comfort for having a father. Our adult son now has formulated ideas and beliefs of his own. His father respects them. And when they disagree, dad gently offers his reasoning while accepting his son’s views.

What a blessing fathers and father figures are to children. They represent love, protection, a teacher and provider of unconditional love and care. Certainly more and more fathers are caregivers and nurturing parents who encourage, motivate and guide.

Fathers demonstrate authority, intelligence and purposeful living. When tempered with wisdom, intelligence is balanced with an inner spiritual guidance that comes from a finer knowing within.

May you each feel our gratitude and benedictions that go with you and rest within you as you give from the fullness of your fatherhood not alone; however given inner Divine strength, light and love in your expression as fathers.
