I am walking in the dusk of the day

And feel the peace wrapping around me.

All cares and considerations ease

In the surrendering of daylight into evening.

I rest in thankfulness for the Presence of God,

Having seen me through challenging moments,

Questioning times and exuberant elevations of living.

Comfort comes in the realization of grace

Lighting and unfolding good

In the middle of ugliness and discomfort.

Then the surprising gifts drop through the seconds of time,

Bringing new understanding and blessings from beloved treasures

Inside people, arising and turning any disheartening experience

Into blissful recognition of the contents of Divinity

Happening once again in my life.
