Giving of our Innate Goodness
“The problem with most people is that they are always trying to give out the bad and take in the good.” –Pema Chodron
Today let’s practice the real truth of our innate goodness. We have an original blessing of God inside our life and being. Also we extend the truth by knowing it for any so-called enemies, people that trouble us and do not stop there–we include every soul on earth — has innate goodness within them. Individual people may not always be expressing innate goodness and may even be going in an opposite direction of divine integrity. Nonetheless, good is waiting to be awakened within each and every life expression.
We have come to know the power in and of our word. It is why we affirm and let the words we choose and speak be aligned with veracity and with the greatness of Divinity inherent to us.
Today live in awareness of giving from the center of Goodness within you. If something or someone presents an opposite mood, tone, way of being, or perhaps a personal upset or problem. We can practice Tonglen.
Tonglen is practiced by acknowledging the suffering and desiring the relief, the freedom from the particular disturbance and imbalance.
Centering ourselves first before we begin Tonglen with a few deeper than normal breaths, coming into oneness with the fullness and wholeness within ourselves. Then we begin the practice of Tonglen.
I Breath in and acknowledge the challenge great or small and the knowing of relief and freedom from the upset, dilemma or problem. This can pertain to an individual, to animals, the environment, and groups of people.
With the outbreath we know freedom is felt in the individual, the animal, and within the challenge. The concern is lifted, healed and restored to wholeness and normalcy. Suppose it is a lonely person who has gone through a recent divorce. They are experiencing loneliness and feeling down-hearted. We would sincerely know inside ourselves for the other person: Loving-kindness and divine love are ministering to the individual in some meaningful way and they feel great comfort and love from within themselves. We breathe in the challenge and on the out breath we know relief and inner healing takes place fully and gracefully. And so we let it be done….
