Growing in Authenticity
“Authentic empowerment is the knowing that you are on purpose, doing God’s work, peacefully and harmoniously.” Wayne Dyer
Truth Message: Growing in Authenticity–After 911 there was an evident focus on personal authenticity. Generally, we Americans expressed our grief, loss, anger, confusion, questioning and so forth. We talked about our feelings and concerns openly. Some people wrote the government officials directly over concerns of going to war in haste. The point is we were more transparent during that time. For numerous people, transparency continued and is integral.
No doubt, it’s nice when truthfulness is in vogue. Being individually authentic is more than a trend–it is a spiritual way of living. However, living a life of authenticity usually evolves in individual consciousness, in you and me. It can take living, failing, succeeding, discouragement, disappointment, maybe experiencing addiction, marriage, divorce, feeling abandoned, and being a good friend. Living an authentic life corresponds with increased spiritual awareness and values.
Simply stated, authenticity develops while we live and experience life, with its ups, downs, and sacredness of grace, and sailing along on smooth waters. It could be a person needs to experience periods of being unauthentic. Usually we do not prefer lies, fakery, and falsities in ourselves and others, however.
Moreover, inspiration, intuition and knowledge report authenticity in the human soul and spirit. It is a divine quality expressed in us.
Personally, I have observed our son expand in authenticity as he has experienced more years of living. He respects honesty and truthfulness in himself and in others. Authenticity unfolded in him like a tiny tree expands in stature with some struggle and grows in depth, inner strength and attractiveness. His expanded self emerged after experiencing pain and wanting to be free of loneliness. He developed introspection and increased with contemplative moments, providing him with insight and foresight to see and open to inner wholeness, purpose and connectedness with self and others.
On the other hand, we know what untruthfulness is. We understand the discomfort of telling an untruth to be accepted, not make waves, or out of fear. Also, it’s not uncommon for us to know when someone else is being unauthentic.
Furthermore, I have grown in authenticity encouraging the quality of inner genuineness in my entire expression. Nevertheless, the desire to be my true self and living authentically came from the pain of an absence of being real. As spiritual attributes and awareness have increased in me, expressing authentically has come easy and spontaneous. Surely, the spirit in us desires the fullness of our Selfhood to bloom, be creative and be true to our innate divine design and glowing authentic nature.
Hence, what invites individual self-actualization and living authentically? Furthermore, is there a fast track to living an authentic life? It is helpful to know human beings inclusively have the propensity to be authentic. In our true, original state, we are authentic and have the potential for self actualization. It is built into our divine nature. The more light we seek, become one with, and give expression to the greater is our experience of authenticity. Likewise, as our human ego gives way for the higher nature, we effortlessly beam with pure intent and veritable expression.
Truly, we live a life based on giving and less and less look for getting from God, person, places or things. We have discovered the Divine is at hand and we are in direct contact and oneness with the spiritual essence of our being. Empowerment comes from within now in a life of authenticity. Our purpose and work is inspired from the flow of Omnipresent Spirit. We feel inner happiness with a strong desire to uplift and anonymously give materially, spiritually, and empathetically. We experience freedom from the clutches of ego and soar with spiritual wings in our daily lives.
All the while, we continue in the nurturance of our inner divine wisdom and nature, living as a spiritual expression in this human journey.
Thank you God for life’s experiences, for insightful moments when we know the truth of our nature and purpose, for the sweetness of growing into and being our true selves within and without, and for the continuation of inner fortitude and active giving of our innate authentic nature. Amen
This day I note the ways I can give to others from my generous spirit. Then I step out to prosper and bless.
