There are challenges in the world. People experience hardship when there is a shift in personal, local and national economic stability. We have internal feelings, emotions and thoughts that may be a drag on our attitude and sunny state of being.

Although, we have an inner Spirit of Upliftment, ready to spring up and circulate optimism, faith, and thoughts along with ideas of audacious happiness and joyous surprises. We have a light of spirited felicity inside us.

One of those occasions was New Years Eve in a nice restaurant eating Japanese cuisine and enjoying the company of my husband and others celebrating the festive evening–out of nowhere rose a feeling of ‘everything is perfect in this moment.’ It felt like complete contentment and all my needs are met. I am comfortable, thankful and peaceful. It feels like moments of bliss and the experience of an environment of harmony. I’ve experienced this same feeling on walks in nature, listening to or watching great performances. It can arise in a crowd or alone.

These ‘perfect moments’ come close to what we identify as bliss, feeling optimistic, being happy, enjoying wonderful surprises, celebrations and mystical visions and happenings. It can be felt in prayer. Perhaps it is our indwelling Spirit of Upliftment making itself known in us. We can call it different things such as grace flowing in our lives, blissful and perfect instances, oneness with the divine Presence, absolute contentment. The feeling gives us an inkling of what God is, what the Infinite Expression is.  

Surely, we do not have to wait to be in the perfect setting. We have a precious spirit of transforming energy about and within ourselves. We can acknowledge the gift inside every thought, experience, feeling and occasion. We can give thanks for the Spirit of Upliftment and its ability to bless us with the knowledge we have greatness inherent to our being and readily active at hand. 

In prayerful knowing–I am aware of an Uplifting Spirit, a transformative energy and reality within me and available to recognize in any situation. I reunite with the presence of upliftment, am grateful for the realization of it, and the mystical joy and exuberance it exudes throughout my experience and awareness. Thank you divine Spirit, Amen.
