I proclaim, I am a spiritual being in light and love-filled human form. (“We live and move and have our being” in God, Acts 17:28.) In prayer and throughout the moments of life, I remember and rejoice in the truth that joyfulness is ever present within me and the surrounding world and universe.

I bring joyful remembrances to mind–visiting with friends and laughing often. I recall the joy coming from simple things like watching a good movie or taking a walk outside, or making my favorite food recipes. Joy comes to mind as I recall the pleasure from quiet reading, praying, or just resting. I have felt waves of joy in a room filled with people relishing in the company of one another. Similarly, deep joy is felt during friendly and intimate conversations with God, family, friends, and those we casually meet daily or associate with regularly. Hence, camaraderie is heartwarming.

Giving thanks for the things in our life brings joy to mind: I am grateful for the convenience of a dependable automobile, for plenty of food, for full grocery and department stores, for the abundance nature reveals. I am joyous for plentifulness and apply good stewardship with material and intangible good.

I feel appreciative to the Source of comfort, peace, and fulfillment inside and out, seen and unseen.   Thank you God for the presence and power of the divine quality of  Joy within each one of us and every life form. Amen

Five Avenues of Joyful Expression–

Be jolly, laugh often alone and with others. Notice funny laughable things in your life, in the world of people, nature, and things.

Be Joyous about your Divine nature–Rejoice!

Do happy things, uplifting things during the day.

Be giving. Generous acts of giving, anonymous, spontaneous, and planned or unplanned. Use your creative child-like genius within to satisfy your giving nature. Blessing others multiplies joy, ours and the recipient.

Again call on your creative genius within and find joy and play in something that has been a chore. (I have a friend who puts energizing Elvis music on while vacuuming and cleaning.)
