Meditation
“Then the Lord God…breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.” —Genesis 2:7
“As I become quiet, I concentrate on my breathing. Aware of each breath, I fill my lungs with oxygen–rich air, hold it for a few seconds, and then release it. I take in fresh air and release all concern.
“Breathing slowly and deeply, I feel any tension in my body melt away. In its place there is a warm glow as the cells of my body seem to awaken.
“I continue to breathe and let the sacred Silence within my soul enfold me………………
“The deeper my breaths are, the more I feel the presence of God………………
“I am totally aware of God. Lingering in the presence of (Divine Spirit), I feel a complete satisfaction within my soul.
“Then, slowly, I again focus on my breathing. I let each breath bring me further along in an awareness of my surroundings.
“Spending time in silence with God, I am refreshed and ready for whatever this day holds in store for me.”
