“Nurture”
We each are better off because we have been nurtured while and as we grew. It does not stop there. We, inherent spiritual beings living a human experience, need nurturing throughout our lifetime. Try living for awhile without someone caring about you or feeling loved. It feels almost disabling.
As Jim Cathcart puts it—“Nurture your nature.” When there is no one around or we feel unloved we need to draw from within and ‘nurture our nature.’ Give ourselves an embrace; feel the universal love drenching our entire self with unconditional loving waves of uplifting energy.
We are capable of nurturing, providing ourselves with up building and enriching sustenance. Thank goodness we have had models and mentors who have displayed nurturing qualities, showering us with the elevating food we need to grow and live, feeling validated and good about who we are.
To encourage our nurturing ability is a life-long requirement for us; and likewise to provide the nurturing and life-giving positive support to others. Throughout humankind’s experience we have increased in our collective understanding of the value and necessity of the nurturing necessity for sustaining healthy life for each of the life expressions on Mother Earth.
“As a species we have made a giant leap from nature toward nurture”–Joseph Rain. Thank goodness we live in a time where elevating and promoting the best in one another has and is increasing. This is so until we watch the news programs. Then we see and are told of the opposite happening with regularity.
Sometimes it appears as though humanity is taking steps backward. Let’s look into the idea. If we believe it, we add to the validity of regression as human expressions. Don’t believe it. Since when did appearance dictate or relate the truth. Rarely ever. Not the real truth. Life happens to us according to how much energy and belief we give something, an idea or someone.
We choose to believe humanity is progressing. Yes there is ugliness in the world. We are then called on to see the beauty, to continue in the expansive work of compassion and providing a nurturing presence in our experiences with one another.
In our work, inventions and interactions with life, when we enrich through a nurturing expression of determination to be a power for good in the world, wow. We then see ‘as a species’ we are increasing in our nurturing capacity not limited only to dear ones, outreaching to all people and life forms. Thereby we promote nurturing in ourselves and on earth.
