Prayer’s Essence, Part 3
In our conversation in Part 1 and 2 on the essentials of prayer and enriching in divine Spirit and light, we are familiar with what opens our heart and mind to receive and take on more of our spiritual identity as the image and likeness of God. We have realized the significance of relaxation in preparing ourselves; we know the necessity of clearing the mind and tuning in with focused concentration upon spiritual truths; we understand more deeply the priceless moments we are in the quiet of meditation, the silence of prayer, when we receive and are closest to the qualities and nature of our inner holiness and divine presence. In our receptivity we have clearer knowing.
Then, we ready our consciousness for revelation and realization such as what Elijah heard in the still small voice on the mountaintop. Prayer’s essentials take us to our mountaintop, higher intentions of our hearts, when we hear, become more aware of who we are and what is ours to emphasize in our lives, what to release or taken on, and act on or not act on. We gain in divine light, discernment and instruction; we receive from our spiritual nature and inner Wisdom.
What are we to do with acquired knowledge into ourselves. Elijah committed to act on what was spiritually given to him. He moved his feet while he was alive with new light and knowing. We are to use the divine light and blessedness we receive. Hence, we put feet to our divine insights and inspirations while we maintain our spiritual wings by continuing to be open to receive of the fountain of divinity within us.
One more significant thing–we rejoice in having increased in divine light and awareness. We are thankful and appreciative which keep us in the circle of the presence of our wholeness and true essence of divinity. Being appreciative increases inner wealth and holy Oneness—we stay in the flow of giving and receiving the attributes of our divine Nature. We continue the flow of good coming to us and going out from us.
In brief, we are grateful for the stillness within and for our receptivity and inspired realizations. Likewise we continue in light as we are grateful in our hearts for the gifts of divine Spirit.
