“Present, Past and Future.”
Think of a time in your life when you stepped forward in faith and began a new adventure. I recall the day I left for Unity Seminary. Filled with anticipation and fragile bravery, I was on the road heading north.
As I left home for Unity Village the present was definite, yet the past became precious too because I recalled times I had made bold moves and things went well. It was a success to move forward and unfold a dream.
Even though, the future seems unknown. Yet we fill it with our anticipation, hope and enthusiasm. We know our innate spiritual presence and power which is everywhere present is already preparing the way of absolute good. For the future is mightily being formed and taking shape in the moment we are in now.
My drive to Unity was filled with exhilaration. Whenever we move on with a goal, dream or promised intention of our heart, we swim in happiness. Even though the trip took energy, gumption and inner power to leave our beautiful home and loving husband, it felt wonderful to be fulfilling a deep desire for spiritual development and soul growth.
Life supports us in the present moment. We can control our thoughts and attitudes about our past. We can change less than good previous experiences; we can change what we think about them now.
In the knowing all experiences in life serve to add to our growth and wisdom, we claim the good in past happenings especially if they did not live up to our expectations or brought up disappointment.
We lived through it and can learn much from less than happy experience. In these times it is best to love ourselves and give thanks for the presence of divine good regardless of appearances.
The Divine is ever-present as our saving grace of fortitude and fortune at all times even in seeming not so nice experiences. Hence we claim the holy union in the present moment, past experiences and future dreams and anticipations.
We remember the forming power of our mind, of our positiveness and ability to see things rightly whether past, present or future. Because really they are one in the present moment of the fullness of life and power in the now, here and so real, Amen and Amen.
I affirm and feel the enthusiasm in my heart and the thrill of life in its many opportunities at hand for encouraging and creating good and wondrous things, experiences and divine occurrences. And so it is.
