“Be still and know.” –Bible.  “…..Go within for the answers. They’re within you. You have the answers. All you need do is ask.” –Karen Hackel

When we desire spiritual direction and light we have usually reached the limits of our human efforts and are asking, seeking and desire to unite with higher wisdom. Sometimes the guidance we want is of utmost importance to our inner stability and welfare.

The simple and sincere request for guidance may come as an emergency call to God. It may go something like this—

“Dear God, I am concerned about my life. A big change is occurring in and about me; and I need to know the best way to go. I need help and divine intervention. Please show me clearly the way I should go. I love you dear God and know you love me with an endearment beyond any human love. I know you hear me; and I remain steadfast and open to guidance. Thank you beloved God, Amen. I know you are with me and I am with you always.”

Regardless of how you pray—pray asking for what you need. Asking that the guidance be clearly shown and revealed to you.

Sometimes needed guidance is not urgent. Yet the guidance you seek may be needed now to save something on your computer. Or the divine light is required so the best course of action takes place.

Guidance can come in as many different ways as there are stars in the sky. The divine Presence may guide your hand, literally work through your fingers and the computer loss or threat is no longer there. Pure Guidance saves the day. Sometimes divine direction takes longer rather than a few minutes or instantaneously. No matter the timing, it comes in the highest way and the best instant for us to receive and follow.

What encourages receiving divine guidance—by believing we will, by being receptive to the divine light, and by asking for divine instruction? God and wisdom are not off somewhere removed from us. It is here in our presence, clearly accessible to us and from within us through a responsive, all-knowing higher power.

Even though, if the guidance you seek does not come at first, stay faithful and true to your part of the divine relationship—which is openness and trust in a loving God who is already mighty at work through you and in your life. The divine light is upon you—sometimes in a flash, sometimes gently yet profoundly being known in you.  Feel and believe in your heart–your divine guiding light is not withheld from you. It is given.

Sometimes it takes reading and studying a book from cover to cover. Sitting with the words and contemplating upon what the author is saying. Then, you receive the clarity and guidance as to how the ideas and examples fit in your situation.

Do not undervalue what divine guidance is able to do in your life—it can lead to complete healing, to saving a marriage, to restored prosperity, and to reestablishing your well-being. To inspiring a friend or a daughter, son, or partner. It can revitalize a business, a profession, a promise you’ve made and bring welcomed peace of mind.

The treasured ability of having access to higher wisdom and knowledge is priceless and is a saving grace. Let us join in a brief affirmative prayer—

I am your precious daughter, (son). I know you are closer than my own thoughts, and nearer than my heart beat. You hear me always. I have willing ears and a responsive attitude; and I following divine guidance. Whatever way is the best, the highest and most blessed is given to me and I accept that it is already in my heart and moving through my body and mind. I am following Divine Light and live from heightened consciousness. I am walking through this journey of life illumined and awakened. Thank you dear Spirit, Amen.   (You are invited to partake of “I am Illumined” in ‘Prayer of the Day.’)
