“Uplift Oneself Through Release”
Freedom comes from letting go and forgiving our own shortcomings. Likewise, peace within and in our surroundings come by forgiving others their shortcomings. Then, let’s encourage ourselves to place in our hearts at least one good quality we have. As well, it is helpful to recall one good quality about the person we just forgave.
To continue our steady demeanor of feeling free and clear, we may want to remind ourselves of what is important to us. How do we want to live? Seeing faults in self and another and ruminating over them can drag any attitude into a downward spiral. Bringing to mind what lifts us and gives joy, then setting an intention to live by what is important to us and how we choose to live our lives. Frequently and spontaneously forgiving self and others may help contribute to joy and steady happiness.
Mallika Chopra in the May Daily Word feature article made the distinction between intention and goal setting. She pointed out how intention comes from a more profound place within us. On the other hand, goals are more a mental or intellectual chosen process.
Living our lives with a liberated heart free to do and be as we design ourselves to be takes reaching within ourselves and being honest with what counts in our lives. Consequently, we will have more energy available to really do and be to our content.
