Wearing our Feelings on our Sleeves
“When things go awry with a person, friend or close ties.” Perhaps it is the time of the year and people wear their feelings on the sleeve. What do we do when a loved one, friend or associate get their feelings hurt.
We pray, go within to our center. There is a natural spiritual reaction of going apart within oneself and joining with our Divine wholeness of love and light. In Gary Simmons book “The Eye of the Storm,” he suggests–One) We first love, know or feel the Christ love within oneself. Then when we feel or sense union with pure love, know it for the person who feels slighted in some way. Also follow your valuable and attuned intuition. Intuition knows how to guide us and if we are to do or act, it will take over in us and move and be in the highest way for healing all around. The healing may or may not be obvious right away in the other. It will be obvious within ourselves for we will feel better!
Secondly, Simmons recommends to do good in the situation. Example: I had a casual friend get her feelings hurt for what reason I had no idea. My intuition guided me to let her be for about 5 or 10 minutes then I began including her in conversations and in what was going on at the party. I loved and included her. She must have picked up on my warmth. Within fifteen minutes all was well with her. I know why–she felt loved and one with the group once more.
Thirdly Simmons suggests we continue to bless the person–This person I just spoke of was used to my love and attention. She must have missed it and felt separated–continue to bless self and the other person or group of people in our heart, thoughts and quiet times of prayerfulness.
Fourth: Free yourself and the other person. What do we free ourselves of? See yourself free in the light and love of God. All is well and cleared between you and the other. Nothing is held within self against the other. All is forgotten and forgiven. See them free, feeling one with God’s love and unified with the one light that shines within us all. See the person whole, well and at peace with self, people and all of life. You are free and they are free too!
