A Unity minister told his story of how he healed of cancer through laughter and joy. He fired his doctor because the physician believed the ailing minister had a terminal illness. The minister changed his daily routine and resigned his position as senior minister. Previously he had a long commute to work; plus, he would have many pastoral duties outside of church. He had a packed day and was a VBP–very busy person. He prayed and was guided to change his daily routine.

The minister opened up time to heal, laugh, and enjoy the scenery as he drove. He would have laughing sessions for periods of time during the day. He watched comedy movies and practiced spontaneous laughter and joy. Likewise, he looked for and took advantage of funny moments and joyful occurrences. He created a joyful environment within and without and healed.  I heard this true story on a cassette tape bought in a Unity Bookstore a handful of years ago.
