Truth Message:  Words have power in them to lift up, be neutral, or ‘complainy.’ Words can inspire, bless, or depress. Even our unspoken words matter. For words have substance and power within them. They are packed with creative potential.

We know we feel better when our words are of a more positive nature. As well, those who hear our favorable words feel better. Have you been in a small public area with a person who is speaking derogatorily? It’s no fun. Usually we want to get away from it quickly. The words we speak are important. Charles Fillmore in his book Prosperity quotes Emerson: “Words are alive and if you cut one it will bleed.”

Hence, I am consciously aware of the words I use. I choose words with care, words of non-aggression that are positive, clear, loving, and harmonious. If I need to be forthcoming and let someone know something that could be touchy; I am supportive of the person and focus on what is needed or requested in the situation. In addition: I choose to include more positive energy than negative vibes in my conversation with self or others.

Affirmation: I apply wisdom, understanding, and kindness to the words and language I use, both unspoken and spoken.
