When Charles and Myrtle Fillmore were down, had little hope, or wanted to keep their conscious union with God they did this: They each continued to stay open to Divine Spirit on a regular basis, for God’s guidance and presence in time of need or when direction, light and greater faith were needed.

Myrtle turned to God with prayer. In her weakness she looked within and up for strength, healing and wisdom.  She would take a walk in nature, in a garden and pray as she went along and alone. Both Charles and Myrtle would use the word treatment interchangeable with prayer. They are defined in similar ways. Treatment may refer to an orderly flow in connecting with God. Treatment also has built into the meaning, faith in results when used.

What is the remedy we need today or any day we require upliftment, guidance and immediate help? We begin by accepting our current state of mind, emotions and situation. We stand in our God light and right to feel and know God; and, we let go of limiting thoughts or feelings such as to fight or push for results.

Likewise, we open inside our heart and mind. We drop the concern. Lay it down and begin to open wide to the light, here offering us directions, peace, comfort and renewal. We pray how we know to pray with childlike openness to experience the Kingdom of all Good prepared already for us, each one of us. So we drop with any drama and allow our consciousness to make way for God and Divine good to fall into our lap and bless our life in surprising ways.

Here is a treatment Charles Fillmore gave us: We remember prayer/treatment is immediate, timeless and does not grow old or weak. The prayer has Universal Power in each word: “Infinite wisdom guides me; divine love prospers me; and I am successful in everything I undertake.” One of Myrtle Fillmore’s favorite prayers she relied on personally and taught, plus read to children:

“The Prayer of Faith:” “God is my help in every need; God does my every hunger feed; God walks beside me, guides my way; Through every moment of this day.

“I now am wise, I now am true,
Patient and kind, and loving, too;
All things I am, can do, and be,
Through Christ the Truth, that is in me.

“God is my health, I can’t be sick;
God is my strength, unfailing, quick;
God is my all, I know no fear,
Since God and Love and Truth are here.” –by Hannah More Kohaus
