Myrtle Fillmore, cofounder of Unity, said “Speak the Truth, even if your voice shakes.” Sometimes it is not easy to form the words — I forgive you. There are times when we are fearful and speaking a Truth statement is a saving grace, a composing factor.

When we may be ill or a friend or dear one has received a diagnosis and asks us to pray for or with them, in these instances our words may quiver when we voice the absolute Goodness of God for ourselves or another.

Yet, it is at these times we increase in spiritual understanding and bless beyond measure when we proclaim the Divine Truth about the Life of health and wholeness flowing through our veins as a mighty healing stream regardless of medical reason.

Likewise, each time we utter sacred Truth our faith becomes stronger and so does the belief in the integrity and power of pure Spirit-filled verities.

What’s more, We find the inner capacity and ability even though we may be struggling to forgive someone, centering on the highest within us or visualizing the Christ light filling and forming the words — In the Christ light and love, ‘I forgive you.’

Personally, I recently did this very thing. I had to go through a spiritual process of calling on the Christ power and presence to shape and feel the prayer of forgiveness. Then I was able to readily say within myself one with Divine light, ‘I forgive you.’

Burdens lift from us when we dig deeper within and move beyond the human clutter of feelings and thoughts opposing the forgiving energy, the freeing Truth.

Would you sit with me in prayer for a moment. Let’s go within and begin to invite some kind of feeling, image or sense of a Godly love and potential to forgive someone or something. It may be ourselves who needs to feel forgiven.

We can speak the Truth for ourselves and others and sincerely feel it when we align with our inner Divinity: I forgive myself for any missteps or errors I have unwittingly committed:

I stand in Oneness with the Divine Spirit and say out loud, ‘I forgive myself.’ ‘I forgive another or those individuals I need to forgive. Poised in my Divinity, ‘I forgive you;’ ‘I forgive anyone needing my forgiveness.’ I release any discord and non-forgiveness and I feel free, I am light-hearted and transformed, Amen.
