A quote by Alexandre Dumas states: “The merit of all things lies in their difficulty.” For a moment, would you think of the most difficult thing facing you right now. I ask you to breathe into it and relax. Whatever the obstacle or strain remember there is great value in standing up to it.

An efficient way to face the thing uppermost challenging is to go within self and begin to give yourself a pep talk. First of all, you are never alone and you are not weak. You have endured and grown from many things. You have successes. Perhaps some failures. Yet you have learned much from them. It is the same with those things causing the most strain in your life.

Find the highest positive words to affirm and know about yourself. How courageous you have been in difficulties of the past. How you have risen up and confronted a situation bravely. And how you have been willing to seek information, guidance and support from other sources, trusted people, knowledgeable professionals and dear friends.

You can face those things that seem daunting with confidence in yourself and a belief in the grace of God and the divine inner strength and know-how inherent within you. “I pause, turn within, and rest in Spirit.”

Fortify yourself by reading about people who have faced big challenges and overcame them, whether bankruptcy, illness, loss, accidents or other complications or confrontations. They usually tell of the great power and reserve they tapped into inside themselves. Along with drawing the right people with great skills and knowledge to guide, heal and provide just what was needed to transform the difficulty into the greatest asset and accomplishment in overcoming.

Believe in yourself; believe in life and the willingness of a benevolent Universal presence pervading all things and to rally around you, awakening within you the potential to lift up and turn any challenging situation into a most fulfilling accomplishment.
