Sometimes in living our life we encounter what appears to be unfair experiences—when out of nowhere something goes awry. It can be discouraging.  However we do not have to succumb to disheartening mind chatter. This is the time to literally ‘wait a minute.’ Wait a minute, I have dominion over how I feel and what my thoughts are about things and experiences.

We know discouraging thoughts produce feelings of lack of joy, discouragement, and questions like: ‘What do I do now about this.’ Good question! We can decide to pause, take some conscious, deep breaths.

Similarly, encouraging feelings along with thoughts of counting our blessings and noting how many numerous things go well consistently in our lives, produce optimistic thoughts and courageous actions. When we feel discouraged, right then we can decide to feel courageous and thankful for every good thing and happening in our life.

What’s more, we do not want to rent ‘discouraging thoughts’ a room in our inner consciousness. We want to rethink the word discourage and recognize we need to support the feelings in our heart. Honor them and acknowledge our power to choose esteemed thoughts and thankful feelings and TAKE HEART.

Courage is akin with the heart. It is a resident of our heart of wisdom, bravery and confidence in the face of discouraging circumstances. The word courage has a long legacy of being a companion of our heart. The word history of the modern day word ‘courage’ evolved from the Old French word ‘corage.’ The Modern French word courage has evolved to represent the heart, inner most feelings, temperament. Our English word Courage also evolved from a Latin word ‘cor,’ meaning heart. Hence, courage and heart are synonymous and work together in unison.

Furthermore, each one of us reading this know enough about the intimate relationship between God and Divine Love deep within our heart and circulating throughout our body, mind and being. Love does not leave us in our discouragement. It mounts up to bolster us and circulate courageousness, fresh ideas and faith to meet the things we have to meet with valor and audacity, remembering conditions do not control us they motivate our inner wisdom and triumphant character to move forward one with the best within us.

Likewise, the decisions we make from the confidence and bravery in our hearts will be sound and clear. Soon discouragement will be molded into new born action producing extraordinary and gratefully good results.

We give thanks for our courageous heart at the core of our being one with the greatest power and presence there is — one with our God nature, Amen.
