When Bobby McFerrin’s song was released in September 1988 he aimed at giving people lyrics of a positive, upbeat nature to help them have an uplifting day and life. Hence, when you sing and say affirmative and wholesome words, think of the pores of your body and the cells of your brain absorbing the rhythm and the vibrations of the rhythmic sounds. 

Furthermore, one of the lines of the song lyrics states — “Don’t worry be happy now.” Without delay we can begin to feel better from the vibrations, sounds and meaning of the words we state. Now is a good time to influence ourselves with sunny thoughts, soothing feelings and words aligned with the truth of our spiritual heritage. 

As many people have learned — usually in times of need — they began to change the course of their lives by one positive action, a decree of self-approval filled with self-confidence, then following through with the honorable intentions of their hearts. 

In addition, to continue the worthy state of being and beneficial action, we must stay the course and follow the positive light of wisdom and direction and keep on supporting the noteworthy intentions, taking root and growing in our lives.

We are fortunate to live in an abundant society where there are vast sources and resources contributing to our well-being and success. However the surest source is found within our own being: the divine Spirit of unlimited power, stability, and sustenance to keep us on track and able to do brave and great things. 

In affirmation: I tune into and immerse myself in the sustaining power within. I am in the center of the wholesomeness of Spirit, Truth, Love and Assurance. I am worthy and here to express and give my gifts and specialness to others and to life. One of the greatest treasures I can give myself, my dear ones and life itself is to fearlessly follow the purest light and strongest divine urge inside me to contribute to life in meaningful and wholesome ways. Therefore I continue to fill from inside-out with God light, life and pure love and be the positive influence and do the noble things my spirit is telling me to do, Amen.
